All 670 words and phrases of Modules 1 to 8, grouped by topic. Tap a topic to open it, or drill a topic on its own.
One cycle, every word. Each cycle (two weeks, unless you change it in Settings) takes you through all 670 words and phrases of Modules 1 to 8, spread evenly across the days. Words come up in their topics, in a random order.
Type or say the meaning. Type the English in the box and press Go or Return, or tap the small microphone and say it. Any of the listed meanings counts, with or without "to", and my/your/his/her are interchangeable. If you were right but it was marked wrong, tap I was right.
Hear the word. Each new card is read out in French, and read again if you miss it. Tap the speaker on the card to hear it once more. Switch this off, or pick another voice, in Settings. On an iPhone the voice follows the ring/silent switch. An iPhone can be given a better French voice under Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices › French.
Inside claude.ai the page's own microphone is blocked, so the app switches to the keyboard: tap the answer box, tap the microphone key on the keyboard, say the meaning, and it submits itself when you pause. Return moves to the next word.
Missed words come back. A word you miss returns the next day, and once more two days later to confirm it has stuck. Enough room is kept in each day for these.
Weak words next cycle. At the end of a cycle the app lists the words you missed. In the next cycle those come up three times instead of once.
The mosaic on the home screen has one tile per word. It turns gold as you get words right and red where you missed them.
Éclat is a flash of brilliance: un éclat de rire is a burst of laughter, and a word learnt well comes back with éclat. The 670 words here follow the eight modules of the course, from Qui suis-je ? to Un œil sur la santé, la planète et la technologie.
To put this on your Home Screen: in Safari tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On iOS 26 switch off Open as Web App before adding. The icon should open the app in Safari itself: iPhones do not allow speech recognition inside Home Screen web apps, so if the mic is refused there, open the same link in Safari. Progress is saved per browser, so always use the same one.
